Every year for the past 51 years, the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, California has been a staple venue for artists and craftspeople to gather. The Festival opens for over 2 months in the Summer and then again in November for the Winter Fantasy that is open for the 5 weekends leading up Christmas.
Set within a grove of beautiful eucalyptus trees, the Sawdust Festival hosts over 200 local artists. There are glass-blowing demonstrations, art classes, live entertainment and some incredible food vendors.
The festival draws people from near and far every year. The locals are always there taking advantage of such a beautiful spot to socialize and for the visitors to the area, it is a unique experience that you will not forget.
I was lucky enough to have a booth in the Winter Festival for 4 years, selling hats, scarves and other knitted accessories. It is such a fun event and it has been an amazing experience being part of such a creative family of artisans.
Here are a couple of my booths:
The Summer Festival runs from Friday, June 30th - Sunday, September 3rd, 2017.
The Winter Festival are the weekends only - November 18th - December 17th, 2017.
If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend you to stop by - details are here on their website.
