The Beauty of Yarn Bombing!

Suzi Alderson

I always found yarn bombing to be so crazy. My logic being - if you have that much time to knit or crochet a tree, you could've finished 3 sweaters! Seemed to me a waste of time and yarn. But......the more I see it, I have come to love it. So much creativity. So much enjoyment. It beautifies the area, and makes a statement. Although considered a form of graffiti, yarn is easily removed and can hardly be considered offensive. The amazing creativity on some of these examples is extraordinary - blows my mind! Simple Summer Wrap - creating new from old (although they are both awesome!)

Suzi Alderson

So I was perusing through some old British patterns and came across this super cute wrap in a lace or sock weight yarn.   I had always loved this pattern, but thought that it would be adorable in Malabrigo Silky Merino. So, I have adjusted the pattern slightly so that you would only need to use 2 skeins of Silky. It came out so lovey - how cute it would be over a t-shirt and shorts. It really is such a versatile pattern, you could even stick to the original pattern and knit it in Malabrigo Silkpaca. It would be...

Tante Tricotante - Boozy knitting!!

Suzi Alderson

Not that I'd recommend knitting and drinking - unless it's a super easy garter stitch pattern with no counting needed! Found out about this delicious looking ale from Microbrasserie Dulac Saint-Jean in Quebec, Canada. Love the labeling. I wonder where the "Knitting Auntie" idea came from... They also make a Chardonnay with the same label. You can check out their website here - they even have cute t-shirts with this logo on them. Must have one!

Patterns coming soon....

Suzi Alderson

Hi, Suzi here! Nice to finally get a few moments to say hello.  So how was the holiday weekend for you? Mine flew by, and I'm now back at work not feeling rested in the slightest. Although, I must say, I did get a few hours peace & quiet yesterday to catch up on a little knitting. I am frantically making a few samples to showcase some of the yarns that are featured here on  I will soon be putting up some patterns. I am working on some originals, as well as linking to Ravelry and other sites. There...
